Baboosic Lake Summer Camp - Daily
The Amherst Recreation Department …..is proud to announce that we will once again offer our summer day program. Baboosic Lake Summer Camp is an opportunity for kids to join old friends, make new friends, develop new skills, be a kid and most of all have fun. Your child, like those in the first few years of our summer program will participate in many exciting activities; arts and crafts, games, stories, beach volleyball and swimming lessons if you choose. Baboosic Lake Summer Camp Daily Schedule:
7:30-9:00 am Before Care Opens
9:00-9:15am Check-in & Free game time w/counselors
9:15 - 12:00pm Morning activity time with a snack break
12:00 - 1:00pm Clean up, lunch and free time
1:00 - 2:30pm Afternoon activity time
2:30pm Pack up for dismissal
3:00pm Sign-out by parent/guardian
5:30pm After Care Closes
The program will be held at Baboosic Lake, 9:00am-3:00pm daily. Each week will feature a central them and activities will be planned based on the theme of the week.
General Information
This is a weekly program but arrangements can be made for a child to attend a single day or more in a particular week but these arrangements must be made by Friday of the prior week. Daily rate is $30.00
$15 Cancellation Fee (cancellation must be received by the Recreation Office 5 days prior to camper’s start date)

Week 3: July 8-12 Medieval Week
Week 4: July 15-19 Backyard Games
Week 5: July 22-26 Science Experiments
Week 6: July 29-Aug 2 Sports Week
Week 7: Aug 5-9 Super Heroes
Week 8: Aug 12-16 Water Week

What to Bring:
Please mark all items with children’s name in permanent ink.
A water bottle
One snack and a healthy lunch—(before/after care participants may choose to bring more than 1 snack)
Appropriate shoes/sneakers.
A bathing suit, a towel, and a hat should be with the children daily.
Sunscreen & bug spray (please apply at home in the AM as well!)
PLEASE DO NOT BRING: excessive money, gameboys, cd players, iPods, mp3 players, trading cards, water guns, etc.
Field Trip Friday
Field trips may be planned for each week of the program and if they are held will be on Fridays. Trips are planned to local attractions. The cost of the field trip is not included in your registration fee and will represent an additional cost in each week a field trip is taken. These trips will occur only if we have a sufficient number of registered campers in the week to support the rental of a bus.
