It is said that if you can walk, you can snowshoe. Find out for yourself at the Peabody Mill Environmental Center located at 66 Brook Road in Amherst.  Snowshoes are available in a variety of sizes for all ages.

Snowshoes are available for rent in person Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at between 8:30 and 4:30. Please call PMEC at 673-1141 to verify that an Educator is on site and can assist you. Please have an account with Amherst Parks & Recreation before your visit.

Cost for rentals is:
$6.00 per Amherst resident; $8.00 per non-resident.  
Family Rentals are $20.00 per Amherst family of 4 and $24.00 per non-resident family of 4. Additional family members charged at the individual rate.
