Coming to the Peabody Mill Environmental Center: Family Fun Days! Come with the family and make a craft, learn a skill, or just have fun with some organized games. Fun for the whole family! Each month will feature a different program.
Most programs have an outdoor component, so please dress for the weather.
September 27th – Interpretive Trees: come hike some trails on the Joe English Reservation and learn to identify different trees here in NH. We will be collecting different leaves to preserve and take home to help identify trees in your own backyard!
October 11th – Fairy Pumpkin Houses: (participants must bring a pumpkin to carve). Fairies love to inhabit different types of houses, including pumpkins! Walk the trails to collect materials for your very own fairy house that has a Halloween twist being a pumpkin!
November 15th – Outdoor Cooking: come learn the art of cooking food over an open flame! Hike to collect materials and learn to build a correct bonfire safely and have some snacks that we cook ourselves!
December 20th – Dream-catchers: (indoor program) Learn how to make your own dream-catcher! Native Americans made these beautiful pieces of art to help them have pleasant dreams. Make one to take home!
