This once a week program is an opportunity for children to be introduced to the game of basketball with the support and presence of a parent. Sessions will last one hour for six weeks. Skills will build with every session and exercises will become more challenging as the program progresses.
Start Smart Basketball teaches the youngest children the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball while they work one-on-one with their parents. The program focuses on dribbling and ball handling, passing and catching, running and agility, and shooting the ball in a positive environment.
There is a maximum of 12 participants in each group.
