Yoga creates children who are bright lights in this world, increasing their self-awareness and strengthening their bodies — Shakta Khalsa
 
Yoga helps children develop lifelong skills to manage stress and increase self-awareness and confidence. In this 45 minute class designed for little, active bodies, children will experience yoga through movement, traditional poses, stories, games and age appropriate quiet reflection. A regular yoga practice benefits the body, mind and spirit. It strengthens muscles and bones, develops concentration and relieves stress; and helps improve self-awareness and compassion.

Parent participation is highly encouraged!

More About Your Instructor!
Leslie Formby began a yoga practice in 2000. Drawn to it for the calming effects and compassionate thinking, she decided to pursue teacher training, and became an RYT-200. Leslie has been leading Hatha yoga classes for children and adults since early 2007. Hatha yoga blends aspects of different yoga styles and is helpful for reducing stress and pain, increasing strength and flexibility, and improving self-awareness and concentration. Her classes include breathwork, meditation, and deep relaxation. A regular yoga practice benefits the body, mind and spirit. Leslie hopes her students are able to experience the benefits of yoga.
