 Spring Peepers Explorer Camp
PMEC is excited to offer a unique experience geared towards children ages 3-5years old. We've taken our popular summer camp program and added a springtime twist. This six week, half day program will concentrate on outdoor adventures, nature based crafts, environmental education and creative play. Children will take part in various activities geared around a new theme each week!
Please note - A minimum of 6 participants is needed to run this program.

What:  Mini Camp - Spring into Adventure 
Where: Peabody Mill Environmental Center 66 Brook Rd Amherst, NH
When: March 16th – April 22nd -Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00am – 12:30pm
Fee: $250R; $260NR



Weekly Themes: 
Week 1- Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes - We will create a nature based home for a wee creature and work on our fairy/gnome village in the woods near PMEC!

Week 2 - Little Paws and Helpful Claws - Lets find small mammals and insects through exploring their habitats. Exploring life under logs and underground. Who lives in the soil? We shall find out through being soil detectives.

Week 3 - Trash to Treasure Recycle - Reuse and recreate using everyday recyclables. Turn a plastic water bottle into a planter, and much more!   

Week 4 - Little Gems - Exploring Rocks and minerals. Learning about/playing at Rock formations on the trails at PMEC

Week 5 - Woodland Critters - Learn about creatures here at PMEC. Explore different habitats on the trails- vernal pools, forest and see who we can find! Mammals, insects, amphibians and reptiles await us!

Week 6 - Wild in the Woods - Learn about camouflage, habitats and what animals need to survive. We will build shelters together just like the animals at PMEC.

Daily Schedule
• 9:00- Drop off from around circle
• 9:15- Morning circle
• 9:15- 10:00 - Outdoor Explore
• 10:00 - 10:15 AM- snack
• 10:15 - 11:30 - Group games/storytelling/craft
• 11:30-12:00- Lunch & free play
• 12:15 -12:30 - Pack up & Pick up from outdoor circle

  • Please make sure your camper has these items in a backpack.
  • Labeled reusable water bottle

  • Lightweight indoor shoes (sneakers works best)
  • Snow gear: Snow pants, Snow boots, Hat,
  • Scarf ,Gloves, Winter jacket
  • Change of clothes
  • Extra pair of socks
